Main duties of the job As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will be responsible for various important tasks. These include leading a team of care staff, providing training, conducting supervisions, and delegating duties during your shifts. Additionally, you will assist with administering and ordering medication, and ensuring resident care plans and risk assessments are up-to-date. You'll work closely with other healthcare professionals such as GPs and district nursing teams, as well as communicate with the families of residents. In this role, you'll respect the dignity and preferences of each resident, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. Previous experience in a residential care setting is required, along with proven team leadership skills.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our Residents. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You'll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there's no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or on to nursing pathways.

As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.

NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
