Main duties of the job As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) at Derham House care home in Upminster, you'll be responsible for ensuring our residents receive the quality care they deserve. Your duties will include planning, managing, and overseeing nursing services to meet residents' needs, creating person-centered care plans, planning staff rotas, recruiting, and developing team members. Building relationships with local regulators and social services will also be part of your role. You will have the autonomy to lead your unit, with various professional development opportunities available. To join, you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC registration and have experience in creating care plans and risk assessments, with updated knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines, and have acted as a clinical mentor for newly qualified nurses.
