Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) 8a - A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual who has completed their Independent / Supplementary prescribing (V300) qualification to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary community team.
As an ANP within the East Surrey Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD), you will work as an integral member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team working closely alongside a range of clinicians. The post holder will take a lead role in clinical assessment, treatment and care planning in collaboration with the medical team to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work autonomously and maintain a responsibility for assessing and reviewing patients at variable stages in their treatment pathways - this may be as a new referral or through ongoing management - incorporating provision of home visit, outpatient clinics, assessment and reviewing patients. You will be supported by the medical team, aided in clinical diagnosis, treatment planning and supported with escalations of concerns to Consultant Psychiatrist / Medical team and / or partner agencies.
The successful candidate will be supported to maintain and enhance their practice alongside undertake additional study in line with their area of practice / specialist interest.

The Learning Disabilities - CTPLD covers the East of Surrey, with bases at both Redhill and Leatherhead. The post holder's primary base will be in Leatherhead but there will be an expectation for some travel between bases. The successful applicant will have a clean driving licence and a vehicle that can be used for work purposes. Flexible working can be considered with agreement from the line manager and in line with service needs.

Experience Essential
5 years of relevant post qualification clinical experience 2 years' experience as an independent/supplementary prescriber. Experience of psychiatric evaluation and assessment for Neurodevelopmental Disorders and/or Learning Disabilities, to include assessment, diagnosis and management of appropriate conditions.
Desirable
Minimum of 2 years working in a community Learning Disability/Mental Health team ADOS certification Experience of contributing to or leading a service development project Experience of running outpatient clinics
Skills Essential
Valid UK driving license Access to a vehicle for work

Experience of using E-prescribing systems
