Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the existing Cardiac Rehabilitation service in delivering comprehensive aftercare for patients following their cardiac event.
The job is for 28 hours, flexible working.
This will include working across Poole and Bournemouth Hospitals.
Own transport is essential as the successful candidate may need to drive to outreach locations if covering sessions in the community.

Main duties of the job
Applicants should beexperienced in cardiac nursing as will work as part of the Cardiac Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team, providing a specialist rehabilitation service to patients with a range of cardiac conditions across the organisation within outpatient clinics, Cardiac Rehabilitation classes, Well- Being Classes and education sessions.
They will be advising and supporting patients on life- style, risk factors and activity following their cardiac event. They will also support patients and families during their pathway through the service.
They should be flexible to cover staff holiday and sickness and be prepared to cross-site cover.

Relevant NHS Cardiac experience Experience with educating cardiac patients Teaching, educating and supporting staff

Qualifications Essential
Relevant and recent post registration experience Professional registration with relevant professional body Presentation skills.

Non-medical prescribing Relevant BACPR Cardiac specialist course or to undertake within 12 months
Communication Essential
High level of communication skills written and verbal with experience of dealing with multi - disciplinary team Evidence of working within a Team and also working unsupervised.
