Job summary
Medicine and Emergency Care Division are looking for an agile, dynamic and delivery focused leader to join our Division as Centre Manager for Emergency & Acute.
Urgent and Emergency Care services within the Trust are challenged, and we are seeking a candidate who has a track record in successful partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders to support transformation.
Accountable to the Divisional & Deputy Director of Operations post holder has the responsibility for the business and performance management of the Centre. Ensuring that key performance targets and strategic objectives are met, including managing capacity and demand in order to achieve targets. Working in collaboration with key stakeholders across the Trust and wider health economy, you will demonstrate a strategic approach to service improvement and best clinical pathways, supporting process/pathway redesign and produce business plans/business cases to support development within the centre.

The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of all services of the Centre.
As Centre Manager for Emergency and Acute, you will emulate our Trust values through your leadership, support the Trust's overall strategic objectives, have a delivery focused mindset to ensure that your services are delivering the best outcomes for our patients and the community we serve.

Masters level education or equivalent professional qualification or experience Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development
Experience Essential
Significant experience of working at a senior management or professional level (equivalent to Postgraduate Diploma) in the acute sector Experience of business strategy and planning. Being able to present strategy to board level both analysing and proposing strategy Experience of implementing service improvement including complex change management programmes. Specialist Knowledge. Skills & Experience Essential
Strong leadership skills to inspire, guide and motivate teams to achieve targets and objectives. Whilst creating a positive working environment Working knowledge of NHS business and financial regimes. Being able to confidently navigate the budget structures and language to improve services. Ability to design and develop complex information systems to enable effective decision-making within the Centre. Proven record of managing significant risk. To have engaged in strategies and communication skills in this fast-moving area of responsibilities Ability to analyse complex and sometimes conflicting information in order to resolve issues. Analysing resources and priorities and able to engage with other departments to take actions forward securely
