We are now looking for a passionate Clinical Pharmacist to join our Cancer Services team and play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and personalised care to our patients.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of oncology and haematology pharmacy practice. You'll provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey while contributing to service development and innovation. You will also take part in our on-call service, helping ensure the safe and timely provision of medicines outside of standard hours.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across oncology and haematology wardsClinically screen and final check chemotherapy prescriptionsProvide expert medicines advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionalsSupport medicines optimisation on admission and dischargeContribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiativesWork closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomesParticipate in dispensary services, including prescription validation and final checkingSupport education and training of colleagues and junior staffContribute to aseptic services, including chemotherapy production and GMP processes About You We're looking for a pharmacist who is committed, collaborative, and eager to develop within a specialist cancer setting.
Essential:
GPhC registered PharmacistPost-registration experience in a UK hospital settingStrong clinical knowledge and a patient-centred approachExcellent communication and teamwork skills
