About this role

Job summary The role supports all aspects of stem cell collection administration, including appointment coordination, medical documentation, audio typing and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will work closely with clinical teams, donor organisations and external agencies to ensure accurate, timely and professional administration throughout the patient journey.

Main duties of the job * Provide comprehensive administrative support for Stem Cell Collection services and general office duties. * Coordinate and manage all paperwork relating to Anthony Nolan Trust (AN), National Health Service Stem Cell Donor Registry (NHS SCDR), DKMS, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Welsh Bone Marrow Donor Registry (WBMDR), private patient donations and other collection activity as required. * Audio type medical reports, discharge summaries, referrals, clinical correspondence and other medical documentation accurately and within agreed timescales. * Book donor medicals, stem cell collections and related appointments, ensuring all relevant documentation and information is completed and communicated appropriately. * Liaise professionally with hospital staff, patients, donor organisations, insurance companies, embassies and other external stakeholders regarding appointments, reports, accounts and administrative queries. * Maintain accurate and up to date patient records using relevant systems including MOSAIQ and DGL. * Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and stored in line with departmental processes, information governance requirements and confidentiality standards. * Support the day to day running of the department through effective office administration and general clerical duties. * Monitor and prioritise workload effectively to ensure deadlines and service requirements are consistently met.

The Role: This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help coordinate specialist patient and donor pathways within a highly specialised clinical service. Working closely with clinicians, patients, donor organisations and external partners, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth delivery of stem cell collection services and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. We're looking for a highly organised administrator with strong audio typing skills, exceptional attention to detail and experience working within a healthcare environment. You will be confident managing sensitive information, prioritising competing demands and maintaining accuracy within a busy service. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in delivering high quality administrative support and understands the important contribution that non-clinical teams make to patient care. This is a full time, Monday to Friday position working 37.5 hours per week. Shift patterns are 8:00am to 4:30pm, 9:00am to 5:30pm or 9:30am to 6: 00pm.
