Main duties of the job
To provide clinical leadership and operational management to Adult CommunityMental Health services, within the Trust. To be accountable for the direct delivery ofadult community mental health services across defined areas of responsibility. Thepost holder will ensure delivery of high standards of care, clinical governancearrangements and a commitment to improving the quality agenda and contribute tothe care trust agenda as a member of the management team. To contribute, as partof the management team, to the Trust's strategic agenda and business planningsystems for own area of responsibility. The post holder is expected to work withinorganisational and other national and local policies to interpret and embed thesewithin their work area and to be accountable for service development and its practicalimplementation. The post holder may be required to deputise for their line manageror provide cover for a peer colleague, as required.
In addition the post holder will be expected to support the implementation of variousprojects and new initiatives as they arise.

Main Duties continued-
In conjunction with the line manager the post holder is responsible for ensuring the performance targets and key performance indicators are achieved and maintained.
The post holder will maintain, monitor and facilitate the delivery of a high quality service in the most efficient and effective manner within existing constraints and within the parameters set out within the contracting agreement between Bradford District Care Trust and the different commissioning groups.
The post holder will ensure that standards of practice are maintained through the implementation of the quality agenda, CQC standards, Audit, Key Lines of Enquire

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Hold a relevant professional qualification in health or social care Minimum of two years experience of managing mental health services at team leader/manager level
Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of relevant national policies, mental health legislation, best practice, quality frameworks and local approach to implementation within specific area of responsibility
Skills Essential
Ability to set out a vision for area of responsibility and influence and persuade others of the benefits and requirements whilst overcoming barriers to achieving this.
Experience Essential
Experience of supporting the implementation of service developments and reconfiguration Experience and knowledge of working in and managing in a multi disciplinary team setting with a mental health setting.
