Job summary The Abdominal Medical and Surgery CSU are seeking to recruit a full time (37.5 hours) permanent, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Medical Secretary/PA to join our team in the Liver HPB & Transplant Service in Leeds. Abdominal Medicine and Surgery is the largest CSU in the Trust, and we aim to deliver the highest quality service for our patients. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide a comprehensive medical secretarial/PA service to the Liver Clinical lead and Liver Cancer Lead predominantly, however, will also provide secretarial duties to our other 10 consultants alongside a team of secretaries. This will include secretarial activities for example audio typing, validation of waiting lists, rota input, IPT of patients to other trusts/private sector, dealing with patient queries, filing, diary management and organising meetings but will also include developing, maintaining and managing office and information systems in support of the service. The post holder must be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people including patients, medical staff and colleagues. The secretary may be required to cover for colleagues during absence and work flexible hours when necessary.

What you will bring to the role Qualified to RSAIII typing/word processing or equivalent
Proficient audio/copy typist
GCSE (or equivalent) English Language grade C or above
Willing to undergo additional training
2 years secretarial and administrative experience
