37.5 Hours & PermanentSalary: Up to £44,100.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the nursing department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Main duties of the job

Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.

Safely administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy.

Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.

Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escalate appropriately using clinical judgement.

Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code.

Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.

Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies.

Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

Clinical Care & Patient Experience

Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematologypatients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathwaysand care plans.

Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, includingchemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapies (where trained).

Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, complications, and deterioration,escalating concerns appropriately.

Provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, and informationalneeds of patients and their families.

Treatment & Clinical Practice

Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies, nationalguidance, and competency frameworks.

Safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).

Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in line withprofessional and legal standards.

Ensure infection prevention and control measures are followed at all times.

Governance, Safety & Quality

Work in accordance with NMC Code, Circle Health Group policies, and nationalOncology/Haematology standards.

Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service developmentactivities.

Recognise, report, and respond to incidents, near misses, and safeguarding concerns in linewith organisational policies.

Contribute to maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g.CQC).

Teamworking & Professional Practice

Work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team, liaising with consultants, pharmacists,specialist nurses, and allied health professionals.

Support and supervise junior staff, students, and new starters as appropriate.

Act as an advocate for patients, promoting dignity, respect, and informed decision-making.

Development & Continuous Improvement

Maintain professional competence through ongoing CPD and mandatory training.

Engage in appraisal, reflective practice, and personal development planning.

Contribute ideas and feedback to improve patient pathways, service delivery, and patientexperience.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

Essential

Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.

SACT qualification.

Experience working in an Oncology and/or Haematology setting, or strong demonstrable

interest with relevant transferable skills.

Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients inemotionally challenging situations.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical

environment.

Desirable

Post-registration experience in Oncology, Haematology, or cancer services.

Experience in private healthcare, acute hospital, or specialist cancer services.

Evidence of involvement in audits, service improvement, or specialist training.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration. SACT qualification.

Experience Essential
