Job summary

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced health or social care professional to join our Wellbeing and Recovery College team as a Senior Clinical Trainer.

This is a pivotal role in shaping, delivering and evaluating high quality recovery and self management education for people across Hampshire.

You'll play a leading part in ensuring our courses remain evidence based, coproduced, recovery focused and meet people's needs. You will work collaboratively with peer trainers, clinicians and partner organisations to develop accessible, meaningful and impactful learning opportunities.

As a Senior Clinical Trainer, you will bring clinical expertise, leadership and teaching skills and be a positive role model for recovery education. You will also provide supervision and professional guidance to other colleagues within the College.

Main duties of the job

Design, deliver and evaluate recovery and self management focused courses that are evidence based and coproduced.

Work with peers, clinicians and partners to develop new courses and learning materials.

Ensure course content is high-quality, recovery-focused and aligned with current evidence and quality standards.

Promote recovery orientated, inclusive and person centred learning environments.

Provide clinical expertise, professional guidance and supervision to staff and students

Use digital tools for course design, scheduling, communication and student tracking.

Contribute to service development, meetings and partnership work across the organisation.

Support colleagues with escalating concerns and uphold professional standards and governance requirements.

Support the development and implementation of the Wellbeing and Recovery College's training strategy and clinical training function.

Manage your workload effectively and support line management duties where required.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Health or social care qualification and registration. Supervisor qualification or active mentor experience Degree level qualification or equivalent healthcare of social profession Teaching or training qualification or evidence of equivalent experience' under essential

Desirable

Mental Health First Aider or equivalent experience

Experience Essential

Experience working as health professional in mental health and physical health settings Experience of line managing and supervision of staff Knowledge/experience of neurodiversity. In-depth knowledge of recovery and self-management. Ability to critically appraise evidence and deliver evidence-based practice. Understanding of learning and development practices, covering the training cycle and competency development. Demonstrates advanced, evidence based knowledge of current clinical practice. Knowledge of recovery education including key national developments. Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team Experience in developing positive working relationships internally and externally with clinical services and Trust partners. Ability to travel and deliver face to face training across the region. Ability to use IT and digital systems including Office 365 skills and Zoom

Desirable

Experience of service improvement alongside service users or partners.
