Band 4 Medical Secretary (Oncology Secretarial Team - Berkshire Cancer Centre)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Oncology Secretarial Team within the Berkshire Cancer Center. We are seeking a motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to become part of our well-established and supportive secretarial team.
This is a rewarding role that offers the opportunity to support a busy oncology service, work alongside a range of clinical oncology staff, and play a key part in delivering essential administrative support.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise their workload. An essential requirement of this role is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial support to a Consultant Oncologist, as well as carrying out a range of general clerical and administrative duties to support the wider team.
Key responsibilities will include; managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, handling patient queries and maintaining accurate records. It is also essential to develop and maintain a successful working relationship with key clinical colleagues to help ensure the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
