Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for environmental remediation, soil remediation, demolition/decontamination, and habitat restoration projects. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities, coordinating field crews and subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong experience managing complex environmental or heavy civil construction projects and leading multidisciplinary teams in challenging field environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage daily field operations on environmental remediation and construction projects.Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company, client, and regulatory health and safety requirements.Supervise field personnel, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and project quality.Coordinate project sequencing, logistics, and schedules to ensure timely completion of work.Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.Identify potential change orders, differing site conditions, and out-of-scope work.Complete and maintain accurate daily reports, safety documentation, and project records.Monitor labor, equipment, and material usage to maintain project budgets and productivity goals.Procure materials and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors as needed.Conduct site walks and assist with project planning and estimating activities.Investigate incidents, complete required documentation, and implement corrective actions.Anticipate and resolve field challenges before they impact project schedules.Work closely with project managers and senior leadership to ensure successful project execution.Mentor and develop field personnel while maintaining accountability for crew performance.Supervise and support up to 10 direct craft personnel.Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience leading environmental remediation, soil remediation, demolition/decontamination, habitat restoration, or related heavy civil construction projects.Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary field teams and subcontractors.Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, budgeting, and field operations.Experience interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract requirements.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to travel up to 50% as needed to support projects across multiple states.Previous supervisory or management experience.Preferred QualificationsCurrent 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour Refresher.Experience working on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Department of Defense (DoD) projects.USACE Quality Control Certification/Training.OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
