Position Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Rough Carpenters to join our team on residential and multifamily construction projects in Alameda, CA. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with rough framing and residential construction and takes pride in producing quality work safely and efficiently.
We are looking for dependable, hardworking carpenters who are ready to get to work and contribute to a strong crew.
Responsibilities
Perform rough carpentry and framing work on residential and multifamily construction projectsRead and interpret construction plans and layoutsPerform wall, floor, roof, and structural framingMeasure, cut, and install lumber and other building materialsAssist with layout, blocking, sheathing, and other framing tasksSafely operate common hand and power toolsMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow project specifications, safety procedures, and supervisor directionWork efficiently as part of a construction crewComplete work with attention to quality, accuracy, and detailRequirements
Requirements
Previous experience as a Rough Carpenter or Carpenter in residential constructionMultifamily construction experience strongly preferredSolid understanding of rough framing and general carpentryAbility to read basic plans and measurementsMust have your own basic carpentry toolsMust have required PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses, and work glovesReliable transportation to and from job sitesAbility to work safely and efficiently in a construction environmentStrong attendance and punctualityGreat work ethic and positive attitudeAbility to take direction and work well with a crewIdeal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a reliable, hardworking carpenter who shows up on time, comes prepared with their tools and PPE, works safely, and takes pride in their work. We are especially interested in candidates who have experience working on multifamily or residential construction projects.
