About this role
The Diabetes Nurse Educator provides diabetes expertise to medical and clinical staff, patients and families. They assess the clinical status of referred patients, consult with hospital and physician office personnel in coordinating a plan of care and providing self-management education. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish responsibilities. Works under minimal supervision. Creativity is expected to perform job. May lead and direct the work of others.
