Job summary
As a consultant neurophysiologist you will be member of a team which provides the reporting of adult EMGs, for both outpatients and ward patients at UCLH
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include:
1. To run a clinic as per timetable. These are typically organised as one day a week (and with cross cover for leave with other EMG neurophysiologists).2. To be available during normal weekday office hours for consultations with neurologists, psychiatrists or neurosurgeons relating to inpatients in the hospital and to facilitate inpatient consultations on request.3. To report urgent EMGs EEGs within hours of the recording and provide written reports on the electronic health care record.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications Essential
oMRCP, FRCPCH or equivalent oCCT in Clinical Neurophysiology or Neurology or equivalent). oEligible for Full UK GMC Registration or equivalent on GMC Specialist register in relevant Specialty within 6 months of expected date of CCT. oNB: Non- UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and Specialist register in relevant Specialty by the date of the appointment. oPhD or equivalent High-profile publications as first, lead or senior author ounderstanding of current changes in the management and organisational structures of the NHS oknowledge of Clinical Governance framework of NHS
Clinical Experience Essential
Wide experience in clinical neurophysiology related to NCS EMG, SFEMG, EEG oExperience working in a multi-disciplinary team and understanding of the different roles. oExperience of research, teaching and clinical governance activities of the department.
Desirable
Knowledge and experience in EMG-guided therapeutic Botox injection.
Skills and Abilities Essential
oExperience in managing clinic workflow of reporting NCS/EMG studies oManagement of associated comorbidities
Communication Essential
