We have an exciting opportunity for the right person. We are looking for an experienced paediatric nurse ready to step into the Band 7 role as Ward Sister/Charge Nurse of T11 South general paediatric ward.
Your clinical expertise, managerial insight, and passion for paediatrics will shape the future of care for children and young people.This is an excellent opportunity to drive service delivery, inspire a high-performing team, and collaborate with paediatric specialists across the trust.
Based on our 14 bedded general paediatric inpatient unit, you'll oversee care for patients ranging from birth to 12yrs including admissions from emergency services, paediatric intensive care units, and specialist services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide expert clinical leadership at ward level, setting and delivering high standards of clinical care providing 24 hour accountability for the overall management of the ward and the delivery of nursing care. Responsible for the management, deployment and supervision of nursing and associated staff and the management of the budget. To lead the development of ward nursing practice and standards of care. Responsible for the education of patients and staff.

Knowledge and Qualifications Essential
Registered Nurse Part 1, 2 or relevant section of the register ( Paediatric) Relevant teaching course

Completed or working towards MSc or equivalent Leadership / management development programme APLS/EPALS or working towards
