What you'll be doing
Working with the Hospital Director and senior leadership team to review and develop services from a patient perspective. Sharing your lived experience to help colleagues better understand the experiences of those accessing mental health services. Supporting training, induction and awareness sessions for colleagues. Contributing to the development of policies, procedures and service improvement initiatives. Taking part in recruitment activities and interview panels, helping us identify candidates who demonstrate the values and qualities that matter most to patients. Acting as an advocate for patient voice, ensuring lived experience is represented in discussions and decision-making.
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Have personal experience of accessing mental health services. Feel comfortable sharing their experiences in a thoughtful, constructive and positive way. Are passionate about helping improve services and outcomes for others. Have good communication and listening skills. Can work collaboratively with a range of people, including healthcare professionals and senior leaders. Understand the importance of dignity, respect, equality, diversity and person-centred care. Are able to reflect on their experiences and use them to support meaningful change
