Main duties of the job As an Associate Specialist at Barnet Lane Clinic, you'll play a crucial role in a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care that emphasizes patient recovery and positive outcomes. Working alongside an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include conducting psychiatric and external assessments, supporting treatment determination, and care pathways. Additionally, you will deliver effective Care Programmes, document clinical findings, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuous medical care access, including participation in the on-call rota. This role encourages active participation in clinical governance, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives while supporting and supervising non-consultant doctors and other staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Barnet Lane’s Complex Care and Recovery Service (CCRS) is a highly specialised, bespoke inpatient adult service designed to support individuals whose needs exceed the scope of traditional inpatient service models. The service specialises in treating patients who have experienced multiple or prolonged admissions, stalled discharge pathways, or who have been unable to progress within conventional care environments.
