Main duties of the job As a Speech and Language Therapist at Elysium Healthcare's Farndon Unit, you'll lead therapeutic group sessions to improve speech and communication skills. You'll work closely with service users, fostering engagement and promoting recovery. Managing a caseload effectively is essential, utilizing both theoretical and practical experience to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes. The role emphasizes teamwork, offering support from healthcare professionals and access to diverse training courses for career development. You'll tackle complex cases, embracing cultural and linguistic diversity, and contribute to research initiatives. As a Speech and Language Therapist you will be:

Demonstrating specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management. Undertaking audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments. Specialist knowledge in the areas of low secure mental health and complex care Where you will be working:

Location: Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW

You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways for women with complex care needs.

The Farndon Unit provides low secure care for women with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability. You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary teamoffering personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
