We have full and part time hours available across the trust including:
Surgical wardsMedical WardsAssessment Units
Our Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) provide person centred care to our patients. If you are kind, compassionate and you always act in the best interests of others we would like to hear from you.
You will be an experienced Health Care Support Worker and have completed an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Patients who are being looked after on our wards need care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means most of our posts will have shift patterns that cover days, nights bank holidays and weekends. Where possible we will consider flexible hours and working patterns.

Main duties of the job
You will be an essential part of the nursing team, working under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will also work alongside other healthcare professionals and support workers to provide a positive experience to our patients and their relatives at times of need.
You will need to be the kind of person who puts their patients first and provides the best care possible to every patient every day.
You will support patients in various ways including:
Washing and dressing Toileting Bed making Assisting with nutrition and hydration Helping people to mobiliseAssisting with patients' overall comfortProviding encouragement to lifestyle and behaviour changes IT skills to complete relevant documentation Undertaking assessment and recording of basic patient clinical observations/ test results as part of the overall assessment of a patient.

Knowledge Essential
