Job summary Join The Avalon Centre in Swindon as a Bank Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well- presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Bank Maintenance Assistant, you will be:
Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose. Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained. Undertaking planned preventive maintenance. Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings. Assisting in all decorating. Liaising with the manager reporting all faults and defects. Participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance. Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks. To be successful in this role, you will:
Comply with system and procedures. Have previous experience within a maintenance role. Work effectively as part of a team and independently. You will be working at The Avalon Centre, a purpose-built neurological centre for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury.
The centre has been designed specifically to support people with Neurological conditions, because of their injury, have challenging and complex needs and require a neurobehavioral rehabilitation programme.

Qualifications Essential
Previous experience within a maintenance role. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Courtesy and respect towards residents to ensure quality service. Attendance and participation in training and staff meetings.
