About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-time Band 6 Senior Respiratory Physiologist to join our friendly and dedicated team at University Hospitals Dorset, working across both Poole and Bournemouth sites.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who has a genuine interest in working with adult patients with respiratory conditions.

To succeed in this role you will need;

Main duties of the job

To perform a range of routine, complex diagnostic testing including appropriate interpretation when required. Deputise in the absence of the Lead Respiratory Physiologists Provide support and oversee work performed by more junior colleagues. Conduct quality assurance of work performed by more junior staff members. To triage appropriateness of Respiratory and Sleep referrals To conduct and report Sleep diagnostics with involvement in weekly Sleep MDT To actively contribute to interdepartmental teaching/training including mentoring/assessing students and junior staff Be responsible for maintaining departmental stock levels and appropriate ordering
