About this role

Job summary

Reporting to the Senior Integration Analysts, this role entails the development, testing, maintenance, deployment, and support of the Integration Engines across the Enterprise and Epic Bridges interfaces across both Trusts.

The incumbent will manage Interfaces ServiceNow ticketsin accordance withtrust SLAs and handle Epic Bridges Error triaging. This involves collaborating with relevant Epic teams andassistingin clearing Bridges error work queues. The analyst is also responsible for ensuring the interface documentation is consistently updated.

Additionally, the post holder will oversee the impact of interfaces during Epic upgrades in the Trust, controlling the interface delivery lifecycle, and communicating any significant changes with the Work stream Leads.

Main duties of the job

Development,maintenanceand support of InterSystemsHealthConnectTrust Integration Engine interfaces

Development,maintenanceand support of Epic Bridges Interfaces

Triaging Epic Bridges errors, assigning to relevant error work queues, prepare error resolution plans

Assisting Epic/Application teams with the resolution of errors

Triaging and addressing Service Desk Interface Analyst tickets, ensuringtimelyresolution within the defined SLA

Monitoring the TIE error alerts and resolving, escalating issues

Making sure that the Interface design documents are up to date with any changes, fixes performed

Managing the impact on the interfaces when Epic upgrades are conducted

Monitoring Integration platform, making sureappropriate resourcesare available and the High availability is maintained

Ensure compliance to agreed change processes and change control mechanisms

To support secure decommissioning of any legacy integration environments, data disposal, messagingretirementor transfers

To work on the new Integration projects as assigned by Senior Integration Analysts and the Integration Manager

The post-holder would be requiredtoparticipatein the on-call rota for 24/7 support

Qualifications/ Education Essential

Master's Degree or Equivalent experience

Certification Desirable

InterSystems HealthConnect Epic Bridges

Previous experience Essential

Significant experience of working in HealthCare environment Significant demonstrable software, Interfaces development experience Significant demonstrable experience in HL7 messaging Experience developing, managing and supporting InterSystems HealthConnect Interfaces Significant demonstrable experience of working with Integration engines

Experience of working within a project environment Experience of working with clinicians and securing their engagement Experience in the NHS Epic Bridges experience

Skills/Knowledge/Ability Essential

HL7 Interface development skills using technologies like .Net, Java, ObjectScript etc. Expertise in problem solving, able to analyse and interpret highly complex IT problems using own initiative and ability to support others to develop this skill. Expert knowledge of at least one mainstream programming language Basic Project management knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills - can explain complex requirements in a clear and concise manner, coupled with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand. Evidence of working sensitively but effectively with professional staff in a diverse environment. Ability to make clear rational decisions, exercising independent judgement in a profession and competent manner Well organised with a professional approach Advanced independent judgement Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present to senior staff and external professional bodies. Able to prioritise workloads and resource them in response to changing demands and requirements Ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously Ability to plan ahead, prioritise and manage change in a formally controlled yet, pragmatic fashion. Knowledge of IG / Data Protection standards in relation to working with health data

Knowledge of the key issues around system implementation SQL/RDBMS knowledge In depth specialist knowledge of NHS Information Technology procedures and expertise in NHS ICT system management

Physical requirements Essential

Advanced keyboard skills are required, with the additional ability to operate and interact with a number of complex systems at the same time
