If this is the case we would like to meet you. We are seeking to recruit a Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Nurses to join our existing team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, Norfolk
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Diabetes Specialist Nurse to work within our progressive team. This role will provide specialist expert advice to support and facilitate high quality individualised care to patients, relatives and carers during their time in hospital.
You will be a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work alone; but be a contributing member of the team.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
First Level Registered Nursing Diploma Degree in Nursing or working towards or willing to commence within 1 year of appointment and complete Mentorship Preparation Programme or equivalent evidence of continued professional development
Desirable
Independent Nurse Prescriber or willing to work towards once in post Relevant post basic qualification: ENB 928 or equivalent Diabetes Course
Experience Essential
RGN Level 1 minimum 2 years Evidence of working with people with diabetes Ability to apply evidence based practice

Experience of working in secondary care
Skills Essential
Willing to undertake further education and training Ability to prioritise and organise own workload Computer literate Understanding of national guidance for diabetes

Experience of leading group training sessions
