We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting our clients based in Northwich as a Team Leader. The role involves looking after a number of clients with LD, MH and Autism
About the Role
As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £15.43 for day shifts and £69.76 per sleeping night shift.
Shift pattern:
36 hours per week based on a 2 week rolling rota of a varied shift pattern which includes 1 sleep per week.
Main duties of the job
Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant
Assisting clients in their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
Providing companionship and emotional support
Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities
Administering medication when required
Team Leader Duties:
To be responsible for co-ordinating and reviewing shift rotas for your allocated care packages and staff teams delivering care in line with company policy and procedure.
To forward plan the shift rotas for staff teams to ensure planned absences are covered, i.e. annual leave, maternity and paternity.
To support the office/Care Manager when shifts are not covered due to unplanned absences, i.e. sickness or any other reason.
To feedback any client or team issues to the Care Manager with the intention of resolving matters quickly and appropriately in line with company policy and procedure.
To be the first line contact to the team of Personal Assistants to form the ‘conduit’ between the PA’s and the Care Manager and/or office.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need:
A caring and empathetic nature
A minimum of 2 years care experience
Good communication skills
A genuine desire to support others
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
A full UK driving licence is advantageous
Previous experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
