We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a client on a bank basis for days and waking nights in the London, SW12 area.
The shift pattern is as follows:
07:45 – 17:45
17:30 – 22:15
22:00 – 08:00
Main duties of the job
As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £16.37 for day shifts and £17.07 for waking night shifts.
This position involves bank hours including day and waking night shifts supporting a gentlemen with the following needs:
Autism Spectrum Condition with Pathological Demand Avoidance features (PDA), ADHD, Central Sensitivity Syndrome including Pervasive and Severe Sensory processing difficulties, Fibromyalgia (chronic pain and fatigue), Sleep Disorder, Visual Snow and episodic altered visual perception, Mixed Anxiety, OCD, symptoms of Agoraphobia, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant are:
Prompts with personal care
Medication administration
Meal and drink preparation
Booking appointments
Household tasks such as dusting, hovering etc.
Laundry
Scribing
Clients interests:
Making art, games, remixing music, playing musical instruments and creative writing
What We’re Looking For
To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need:
A caring and empathetic nature
Good communication skills
A genuine desire to support others
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
A full UK driving licence is advantageous
Common interests with the client
Experience in working with people with autism would be an advantage
