Job summary
We are seeking a confident, proactive and enthusiastic Operational Services Manager to join the Sexual Health and HIV Management Team at Monkgate Health Centre.
This is a role for an experienced, visible and compassionate leader who can inspire and support operational, administrative and clinical teams to deliver consistently high-quality care. You will bring a strong interest in service improvement, working autonomously and responsively to ensure that services are delivered safely, efficiently and sustainably--both clinically and financially.
You will work closely with clinical and managerial colleagues to ensure operational performance and access targets are achieved, taking a lead role in developing robust systems that support the sustained delivery of key objectives. A key part of the role will involve supporting service redesign and leading specific elements of wider transformation across the service portfolio.
The post holder will oversee the day-to-day line management of administrative and clerical teams, ensuring smooth and effective service operations. You will also act as deputy to the Senior Operational Service Manager when required.

Main duties of the job
You will oversee a broad portfolio of operational management responsibilities, including monitoring service performance, managing complaints and patient experience processes, supporting service planning, and providing line management for your direct reports.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work collaboratively with senior colleagues across the Care Group and the wider Trust to ensure that services are delivered safely, efficiently and sustainably within both clinical and financial parameters.

Person Specification
Skills & Attributes Essential
Ability to analyse complex information, requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options to support managerial decision making. Good communication, presentation & interpersonal skills Performance management methodology Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing demands Able to influence, negotiate and build working relationships.
Desirable
High degree of report writing skills. Aptitude to be a self-starter in keeping up to date and increasing depth/knowledge of the agenda for designated services
Experience & Knowledge Required Essential
Experience of management in the NHS, including operational management , budgetary management and service improvement Ability to assimilate & co-ordinate various agendas prioritising appropriately. Knowledge and awareness of NHS Plan & Targets Knowledge and awareness of National strategy and policy Knowledge and awareness of Organisational Development methods Knowledge and awareness of Local health commissioning policies, strategies, arrangements and networks (e.g. LMS)

Experience as well as knowledge of all activity targets and managing waiting lists
Education, Qualifications and Training Essential
Graduate/Degree level qualification or equivalent expereince
Aptitude & Personal Qualities Essential
Sensitive to staff issues. Active and passionate interest in and good knowledge of NHS issues at the current time.
