QualificationsOne year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-9) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: performing comprehensive quality control examinations of financial policies and procedures, analyzing operational data to detect deficiencies, and recommending systemic enhancements to internal controls. Reviewing complex internal and external financial reports to develop formalized recommendations, and providing technical guidance to functional directorates regarding regulatory changes, systems operations, and structural mission impacts. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Major DutiesMaintains, and monitors integrated reporting system(s) effecting programs with interrelated functions and operations.Communicates information to management for effective evaluation of financial operations.Analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues.Assist in the implementation of new financial management procedures/systems or develop guidance to clarify regulations or policies.
