QualificationsOne year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Provide expert policy interpretations and functional recommendations impacting agency-wide systems, procedures, and operations. Ensure budget data for across operations is accurately captured, validated, and utilized for consolidated resource management and financial analysis. Review and validated estimates for compliance with governing laws, regulations, and procedures, ensuring accuracy. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Major DutiesCoordinates and submits the work count and budget formulation submissions for mission area/product line.Performs analysis on complex financial problems within the product line and prepares staff papers to support recommendations, solutions, and taskings.As financial analyst to the mission area/product line manager, identifies problem areas and recommends actions and taskings to improve operations, correct deficiencies, and prevent the future occurrence of problems.Collects, consolidates, and reviews data for Requirements Assessment Conferences (RAC). Coordinates with product line from horizontal perspective to validate work counts, work years and dollar requirements.Leads productivity discussions and target recommendations with mission area leadership to ensure supportable budget resource requirements are established.
