QualificationsOne year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Performing financial management analysis to support the design, development, and maintenance of organizational programs. This includes conducting financial reviews, executing management studies, and analyzing financial business processes to recommend actionable improvements. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Major DutiesConducts financial analysis and project studies which includes gathering, assembling, correlating, and analyzing facts in order to make projections, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions.Recognizes potential improvement opportunities in financial management operations and advises management of these opportunities.Advises management officials in strategic planning and in the decision making process with the goal of optimizing scarce resources to meet customer requirements, reducing rework, determining operational capacity, and increasing quality.Advises management of identified problem areas, suggests corrective action, and/or develops guidance to clarify regulations, policies, or procedures.Collects and analyzes customer service data to determine levels of customer satisfaction and customer desired levels of service.Determines risk to fraud, waste, and abuse and the adequacy of security safeguards.
