Exciting Opportunity
Farnham Road Hospital comprises two adult inpatient wards and a PICU service within a modern, purpose-built mental health facility. The hospital provides 64 inpatient beds, all with single en-suite bedrooms, comfortable lounge areas, and dedicated ward gardens, alongside established outdoor spaces for supervised walks and therapeutic activities.
For staff working within the service, the site offers access to kitchenettes and caf facilities, with excellent transport links, including nearby train services.

You will work alongside experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team.
As a service, we are continuing to develop new ways of working and are looking for motivated individuals who want to contribute to delivering effective assessment, treatment, and high-quality care for our patients. This role offers the opportunity to further develop leadership skills while supporting both patient care and the wider clinical team within an inpatient setting.
Main duties of the job
Assist the Ward Manager in ensuring that defined roles and responsibilities are coordinated within the team on a continuous basis. Support the Ward Manager to ensure that the team nursing system operates effectively. Ensure, in co-operation with the Ward Manager, that risk assessments, care plans are regularly reviewed, appropriately modified, and updated. Provide professional nursing advice to other team staff and other professionals. Provide management support to staff through appraisal, supervision and continuing professional development.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
RMN Diploma/Degree/Masters Registration with NMC as RMN
Experience Essential
Extensive post qualification experience working with people within a mental health setting i.e. acute inpatient ward/forensic or HBPoS.
Desirable
Leadership Training
