Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Physiotherapist to join our team within the outpatient vestibular physiotherapy service at the Department of Audiovestibular Medicine, Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will work alongside a consultant vestibular physiotherapist, audiovestibular physicians and audiologists who specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders. We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist that is eager and willing to learn new skills and assist in the development of the vestibular physiotherapy service. You will develop your own skills within the department in a supportive, friendly, and learning environment. The Trust is committed to staff development and offers CPD training in the form of internal courses, joint working, and development of research skills with participation in audits and other projects.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Physiotherapy, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and have some experience in vestibular physiotherapy. As a registered Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for supporting the team in ensuring that our service users receive high-quality, effective, evidence-based care, focusing on a person-centred approach.
Main duties of the job
We provide physiotherapy to patients often presenting with diverse, complex, or multiple pathologies and presentations. Working alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team you will have the opportunity to develop complex assessment skills, risk management and rehabilitation skills.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be interested in personal and service development. You will be expected to maintain a clinical caseload and provide supervision to physiotherapy undergraduate students. There is a strong commitment to ongoing CPD, and you will actively participate in clinical teaching and in-service training sessions, whilst delivering a high standard of patient-centred clinical care.

Education/Qualifications/ Training Essential
Degree/ or equivalent in Physiotherapy Registered Physiotherapist (HCPC) Evidence of attendance on specialist Post graduate vestibular rehabilitation courses Active member of a vestibular rehabilitation interest group High level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies

Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Experience Essential
Broad post-graduate experience at appointment, of which 6 months is specific neurosciences post graduate experience and including vestibular rehabilitation Proven experience and competence in assessing and treating a variety of neuroscience patients including patients with vestibular dysfunction Documented evidence of continuing professional development Evidence of active participation in in-service training programmes
