An Assistant Technician vacancy has arisen for an individual to become part of the HSDU Team. The successful individual will become proficient, through training, in providing Quality Sterilised goods and services to both Internal and External Customers.
Main duties of the job

To prepare goods and services for customers utilising all areas in department To assist with distribution of sterile and clean supplies to theatre, wards and other departments To undertake operation of equipment e.g. Washer disinfectors and sterilisers Be receptive to training and development To assist with stores handling and stock control Give support to senior departmental staff To contribute to an effective, motivated and competent workforce and comply with high quality standards To comply with current systems for recording, collation, monitoring and feedback of appropriate information To monitor and control Production within HSDU, ensuring that all priority requests and contractual turnaround times are adhered to. To ensure that both the Trust & Departmental Values and Behaviours are adhered to at all times by all members of staff within the HSDU Department. Previous experience of working within a Sterile Services Department is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
About us The Trust's services are provided from three locations: o The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds. o Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility. o Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
