Locum Consultant
Working Full Time: 10 sessions per week
This is an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join the team in our new state of the art purpose-built Women & Children's Building. The contract will be 6-12 months, dependant on start dates.
The successful applicant will be expected to deliver clinical excellence and demonstrate a strong commitment to multi-professional working. Job plans will include antenatal clinic, labour ward cover, general gynaecology clinic, caesarean section lists and emergency gynaecology as a basic structure with additional sessions depending on the applicants skills.
Main duties of the job
You will need to demonstrate how your skill mix will help the department thrive and develop. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the non-resident 3rd on call rota, which is currently 1 in 12.

The Trust's services are provided from three locations:
o The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.o Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.o Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.

Qualifications & Skills Essential
Full GMC registration MRCOG or equivalent On Specialist Register of the General Medical Council or within six months of anticipated CCT date on the date of interview.
