About this role

Job summary

We are delighted to advertise this opportunity for a suitably-qualified radiographer to join our dedicated team and develop a career in MRI where all our outcomes aim to meet the highest standard of imaging quality and patient care. The successful candidate will benefit from exposure to a wide range of inpatient, emergency and outpatient scenarios. Working with a Siemens SOLA 1.5T scanner, MRI radiographers are at the front line of inpatient imaging but we also perform scans for cancer pathways, paediatrics, neurology, vascular, breast and cardiac MRI.

Main duties of the job

First and foremost, we are a team that thrives on a commitment to produce the best patient experience possible in all cases, whilst maintaining the highest levels of imaging quality. The MRI radiographers are all encouraged to develop skills which enable them to assist with coordination of daily work lists and build on knowledge of MRI techniques according to current national and local practice. Involvement with daily Quality Assurance tasks. Supporting the clerical team with MRI-related safety queries.

Working in accordance to MRI safety guidelines, IR(ME)R, IRR and local policy.

EVIDENCE-BASED Essential

Current professional registration, HCPC AT LEAST 2 YEAR'S EXPERIENCE AS AN MRI RADIOGRAPHER Works in the UK and has experience of working in the NHS BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent

Desirable

Previous contribution to student support Cannulation skills Post graduate course work in cross-sectional imaging Previous experience of CT
