Job summary
This role involves providing strong clinical leadership and acting as a role model to support and supervise nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care within a head and neck outpatient setting cross site. The post holder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service improvement, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, risk management, and clinical governance standards. Responsibilities include line management, staff development, training, and fostering a positive learning environment. The role also includes delivering and supporting nurse-led dressing clinics for post-operative skin cancer patients, providing specialist care, wound management, and patient education. Additionally, the post holder will support patients throughout their treatment pathway, assist in procedures and clinics, provide emotional support to patients and families, and ensure safe, efficient service delivery aligned with Trust policies and national standards
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria.

Main duties of the job
In conjunction with the Matron and workingalongside theDental Nurse Team Lead,facilitatethe running of the maxillofacial outpatient's department including the management of the team,which includeRegistered Nurses, Specialist DentalNurses, DentalNursesand Health Care Assistants.
To provide care and expert clinical skills in the nurse-led dressing clinicsfor post operative patients
To ensure the department provides a safe and clean environment for patients to be seen in. Oversee training for all staff. Work alongside members of the MDT in clinic.
Provide a patient-centred nursing service in the outpatient environment aiming to achieve the highestpossible standards of care delivery,in accordance withthe Trust's Strategy for Nursing and Midwifery.
Responsible fortheoperational line management of thenursingteam.Deputise for theOral andMaxillofacial Department(OMFS)in the absence of theMatron.
Develop the service within a collaborative framework.
Promote best clinical and professional practice within the standards of the NMC. Ensure smart and efficient use of resources.
Create andmaintainan environment whichfacilitateslearning, practicedevelopmentand research
Fullyparticipatein the promotion of health and education for patients and their families
