- Expert level skills in simulation software such as Houdini and FumeFX - Highly self-motivated, collaborative, and a great team-player attitude - Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and artists - Can take an idea from raw conceptual phases to a finished effect - Technical creativity and a gameplay-focused mindset - Solid knowledge of rendering engines and experience designing VFX shaders - Thorough understanding of technical limitations and performance impacts of VFX - Unreal Engine 4 experience - Passion for playing and making video games. - A minimum of 5 years of experience creating real-time VFX for games - Successfully AAA PC or console games as a VFX artist - Experience with action-oriented games - Experience developing new VFX tools and pipelines - Experience with destruction techniques Video game development for PC and consoles using the Unreal Engine 4. Responsibilities include creating, owning and implementing all VFX-related content, from generating source textures and creating materials to implementing dramatic set-pieces and in-game events. A large focus will be on creating VFX that complement and communicate gameplay actions and interactions, atmospherics and ambient VFX, post process for gameplay, UI and cinematics, and destruction with both real-time physics and simulations. We are a group of game veterans with a past in some of the world’s biggest action game franchises. With a combined game development experience of 70 years we felt it was about time to create our own game studio, built around a small but extremely talented team. We are hard at work on our first title set in a brand new cyberpunk world.
