Job SummaryYou will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Engineering and Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Salary Range for GS-10: $77,964 - $101,359 A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Employing technical engineering methods and practices to analyze and recommend improvements to the effective and efficient utilization database tools such as Advanced Industrial Management (AIM), and Deficiency Tracking and Reporting (DTR) or similar systems; to integrate cost-control measures for project funding allocations and expenditures; and planning and coordinating phases of assigned project work for various codes or shops. Major DutiesYou will participate in establishing funding and monitoring Engineering and Planning Department cost performance indicators for assigned projects.You will coordinate engineering and planning efforts between Shipyard Departments to support the project.You will review work and consult with the Engineering and Planning Department (EPD) technical divisions to determine how the work should be broken down into job summaries and properly assigned to the cognizant codes.You will conduct troubleshooting ship checks to investigate shipboard situations as they arise, ensuring resolutions are provided to production personnel.You will receive resolution documentation from appropriate team members and accurately serialize and categorize problems/data for tracking and quality issues.You will ensure that manpower and material costs are directly linked to program and mission objectives and that expenditures remain within approved budget levels.You will utilize various databases to provide data and reports such as financial forecasts, manning requirements, planning progress and key even closure requirements.
