Job SummaryAbout the Position: Provides administrative support to the Headquarters, Assistant Chief of Staff (ACoS) G4, Installation Management Command-Europe. Provides staff with expert advice and guidance, defining new methods and techniques, and ensuring understandings of administrative and procedural requirements. The position supports the staff in the areas of personnel and manpower, administrative and knowledge management, and tasks and staff actions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Administration: Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production. Information Management: Identifying a need for and knowing where or how to gather information; organizing and maintaining information or information management systems. Knowledge Management: Knowledge of the value of collected information and the methods of sharing that information throughout an organization. Technical Competence: Using knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Major DutiesProvide a high level of support and services in various administrative areas and assigned responsibilities.Independently compose non-technical and technical correspondence based on verbal and written policies, precedents, and practices.Interface directly with senior action officers and executive office staff members in tasked staff offices and major subordinate commands.Track tasks until action is complete using proper tasking channels.Establish overall standard operating procedures to meet current/changing conditions.
