Thornhill Academy, part of Consilium Academies, is seeking a professional, organised and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our dedicated support team. As the first point of contact for many visitors, parents and students, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy academy office while delivering a warm, welcoming and efficient service to our school community.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support across the academy, assisting staff, students, parents and visitors on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing incoming calls, emails and visitor enquiries Supporting student services and attendance administration Maintaining accurate records and data using Arbor Assisting with school communications and events Providing first aid support to students when required Managing reprographics, post and general office duties Supporting educational visits, trips and academy activities Updating academy systems and website information This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent administrative and organisational skills Is confident using ICT systems and Microsoft Office applications Has strong communication and customer service skills Can remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities Enjoys working with young people and as part of a team Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding Previous experience in an administrative role is essential, and experience working within a school environment would be advantageous.
