An Exciting Opportunity to Join a Rapidly Improving Academy

Thornhill Academy, part of Consilium Academies, is seeking to appoint a highly organised, professional and proactive Administration Manager to lead and develop our administrative support services. As Administration Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the academy’s administration functions, supporting staff, students, parents and the wider school community.

About the Role

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will lead the Administration Team and oversee a wide range of operational and administrative services across the academy.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and managing the school administration team Overseeing visitor management and safeguarding administration, including SCR compliance Managing school systems including Arbor, ParentPay and CRB Impact Supporting HR administration, recruitment and absence processes Monitoring financial balances including trips, school meals and sales Coordinating administrative support for governance meetings, exclusions and school events Ensuring high standards of customer service across all administrative functions This is a varied and rewarding role requiring strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has significant administrative experience within a fast-paced environment Demonstrates excellent organisational and time management skills Has strong ICT skills and confidence using data management systems Can communicate effectively with staff, students, parents and external stakeholders Has experience leading or supporting teams Understands confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection requirements Remains calm, professional and solution-focused under pressure Experience working within a school environment would be advantageous.
