5-12 School Counselor (Full-Time 1.0 FTE or Part-Time .5 FTE)
Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative 5-12 School Counselor to serve students at Grundy Center Middle / High School for the 2027-2028 school year.
This position provides the opportunity to join a collaborative team while leading a comprehensive counseling program focused on student academic achievement, career readiness, and social-emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, staff, and families while collaborating with educators and community partners to prepare all students for post-secondary success.
Position Flexibility & Shared Partnerships: Grundy Center CSD is open to considering both full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (.5 FTE) candidates to fit the candidate's desired schedule and district needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive 5–12 school counseling program aligned with ASCA standards.
- Provide individual and small-group counseling addressing academic planning, social-emotional development, and career exploration.
- Collaborate with families, staff, and external community resources to support student well-being and crisis response when needed.
- Assist high school students with graduation pathways, post-secondary planning, college applications, and career readiness initiatives.
