5-12 Science Teacher
Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative 5-12 Science Teacher to join our middle and high school team for the 2027-2028 school year.
We are looking for an educator who values hands-on learning, student inquiry, and real-world problem solving. The ideal candidate will design engaging, project-based learning opportunities where students investigate meaningful scientific questions and apply their learning to practical challenges. Candidates holding or willing to obtain a 5-12 Mathematics endorsement (#143) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned science instruction for middle and high school students using project-based learning strategies.
- Facilitate hands-on investigations, engineering design tasks, and inquiry-driven activities.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families to foster a supportive classroom environment.
- Assess student learning, adapt instruction to meet diverse needs, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and student success.
