We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed part time band 2 administrative assistant to be based at Gemini house in Kidderminster. The team covers 2 GP surgeries situated in the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire. The neighbourhood team operates from 07:30 18:30, Monday to Sunday including bank holidays.
This position includes the following shift patterns: Monday 08:00-16:00, Tuesday 09:00-17:00, Thursday 09:00-14:30 and, Friday 10:30-18:30 on a rota basis. Flexible working opportunities will be considered.

Your typical working day will include the undertaking of administrative duties that are specific to the role.
Provide administrative support as required, e.g. typing, data inputting, filing, scanning/copying, in line with Trust Policies and Procedures.
Answer deal with telephone and email enquiries, liaising and interacting with service users and, colleagues.
Deal with incoming and outgoing post and delivery of supplies.

The post holder will:

Work as an autonomous practitioner within the integrated team providing rapid and planned assessment and treatment interventions to patients in their own homes or other community settings to enable patients to maximise their independence, health and wellbeing and remain in their own homes for as long as possible. This will be achieved through a combination of hands on clinical skills and knowledge to treat, educate and support patients on a designated caseload and by working with patients and their carers to assess, plan and implement appropriate packages of care.
Take responsibility for the caseload in the absence of the Senior Community Nurse when required.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2, OCR/RSA2, City and Guilds 2) in a Business Administration-related subject or Considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post. I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Experience Essential
Recent, relevant experience in an Administrative/Secretarial/ Reception Role.
Desirable
NHS administrative experience. Experience of using NHS IT systems (EMIS, BIRO, Aero, ICE).
Knowledge Essential
Understanding of the Data Protection Act.
Desirable
Understanding of the NHS Code of Confidentiality.
Skills and Abilities Essential
Ability to challenge poor behaviour Role modelling good behaviour that supports teamworking A positive attitude and able to act on feedback Ability to praise and be supportive to others Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English in both written and verbal formats Standard IT skills.
