The Health Care Assistant will work to support the wider nursing and GP teams.

Have experience of working as an Health Care Assistant in a GP practice.

Woodlands Medical Practice is a large sized teaching practice serving a population of 11,500 patients from modern, purpose-built premises in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Our strong clinical workforce is supported by an experienced administrative team to provide high quality services to our patients. We work collaboratively with three other practices as part of the Ashfield North Primary Care Network.
Job description Job responsibilities
To assist the clinical team in the service and delivery of care to the practice population. The post holder will work under the supervision of the senior nurse undertaking tasks and duties delegated by the clinical team.
They will need to work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.
Flexibility is paramount to cover GP extended access including early mornings, evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis. There will be an expectation to commit to additional hours during Flu season to support the practice flu campaign.
We are recruiting for the following days and hours which are currently unnegotiable due to practice needs:
Monday 8am - 5pm
Tuesday 8am - 3pm
Wednesday 7am - 2pm
A driving licence and access to your own vehicle to use as and when required is desirable.

Qualifications Essential
GCSE - Grade A- C in English and Maths - or equivalent Qualified in Phlebotomy Blood pressure recording Wound Care Chronic Disease management experience
