Requirements
- Extensive, recent experience architecting and supporting Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration
- Deep hybrid Exchange experience across Exchange Online and on-premises environments
- Strong understanding of email routing and email security gateways, from any vendor
- Knowledge of Purview, Entra and Azure, including DLP and email archiving integrations
- Desirable: experience in financial services or other regulated environments, Proofpoint, or migrations from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact and escalation point for the messaging and collaboration team
- Advise on and design Microsoft 365 solutions across Exchange Online, Purview, Entra and Azure
- Shape email routing and mail flow across a hybrid Exchange environment
- Contribute to consolidating multiple email security gateways onto a single platform
- Integrate DLP and email archiving tools with the platform
- Provide architectural input to incoming project work

We are recruiting for an M365 Messaging & Collaboration Architect contract role with a leading global financial services organisation, supporting its email and collaboration estate. The hybrid Exchange environment is mostly cloud-based, with some mailboxes still on-premises. The contract runs until 31 May 2027 and pays £726.44 per day via umbrella (Inside IR35). The role requires four days a week on-site in London.
