Requirements
- Strong SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) development experience
- Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- Experience building applications or extensions using CAP and/or RAP
- SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience
- Understanding of clean-core principles and side-by-side extensibility
- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with internal and third-party systems
- Knowledge of SAP BTP security, authentication and authorisation
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Desirable: SAP ABAP development background
- Desirable: SAP Event Mesh or event-driven architecture experience
- Desirable: Exposure to SAP Build Process Automation
- Desirable: Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP Datasphere
- Desirable: Experience working within complex or regulated environments
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions on SAP BTP
- Build and maintain integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- Develop integrations across REST, SOAP, SFTP, JDBC and event-driven architectures
- Create side-by-side extensions and applications using CAP, RAP, Node.js and Java
- Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications
- Configure secure connectivity using Cloud Connector, OAuth, certificates and destinations
- Support integration migration from legacy platforms to SAP BTP
- Produce technical documentation, design specifications and operational support materials
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and deployment activities
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions within agreed timescales

We are undergoing a major SAP transformation programme, investing in modern cloud technologies and best-practice architecture. We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Developer to help shape our modern SAP landscape and support critical business processes through scalable, secure and maintainable solutions. The role involves working with technical and functional teams and technologies including SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori/UI5, CAP and RAP, with a focus on clean-core development. This is a hybrid position based in Birmingham or Northampton, with two days per week on site, and pays up to £55,000 per annum.
