Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year
Requirements
- Were looking for strong hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, particularly with AWS, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- We require experience designing, building and operating cloud infrastructure that supports production services.
- We require practical knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, VPC, ECS, EKS, RDS and IAM.
- We require an understanding of cloud security, networking, scalability and infrastructure architecture.
- We require experience with container orchestration technologies, particularly ECS or Kubernetes/EKS.
- We require Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform or similar tools.
- We require experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines.
- We require knowledge of observability, including monitoring, metrics, logging and alerting.
- We require scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
- We value experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Conditional Access.
- We value exposure to Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware or PostgreSQL administration.
- We value Linux and Windows administration experience.
- We value experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Responsibilities
- Well ask you to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, primarily within AWS.
- Well rely on you to design, implement and test infrastructure solutions from initial concept through to delivery.
- Well ask you to review existing environments and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Youll build proof-of-concept solutions to assess new technologies.
- Youll develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Youll improve infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging and alerting.
- Youll produce technical documentation and share knowledge across the team.
- Youll provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Youll support wider technology areas, including Oracle Database and Middleware Administration and End User Computing, with opportunities to develop your knowledge in these areas.
