Requirements
- Strong SQL development skills, including SQL Server T-SQL.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions.
- Knowledge of Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures.
- Experience with Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
- Understanding of data modelling techniques, including star schemas and dimensional modelling.
- Experience with Power BI semantic models and reporting.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimisation.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Elite 3E IDE 2.7 or later development experience is required.
- An analytical, inquisitive approach, attention to detail, and high work standards.
- A calm, positive attitude, strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to managing multiple tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services is desirable.
- Experience working with multi-currency financial information is desirable.
- Knowledge of PySpark or Spark SQL, Microsoft Entra ID, security frameworks, DevOps, and automated deployment pipelines is desirable.
- Knowledge of financial, legal, or professional services data environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of Elite 3E Templates / Design Gallery is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Logic Apps, and Power Automate), and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support end-to-end cloud-based data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems.
- Develop and optimise Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake solutions.
- Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) to support data quality and governance.
- Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Data Factory, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Spark.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and data models.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues within Fabric environments.
- Implement security, access controls, and governance standards.
- Support CI/CD deployment processes and source control best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Produce technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.
